Dwight Getting Heating & Air Conditioning was started July 1st 1979 by the owner Dwight Getting after working and learning the installation and service in the NYC for 5 years and acquiring a NYC FD Refrigeration license to operate the larger buildings. The intension was to develop and provide reliable installation and services business to the Westchester Putnam area. At present we carry a Westchester county home improvement license, Putnam county Heating and Air conditioning License and a CT state license and are approved to work on over 150 different manufactures of heating and air conditioning systems. We have over 100 years of combined experience in the installation and service work between the four lead people. Our key employees have been in the company for over 18 years.
Dwight Getting believes in order to install or service heating and air conditioning equipment you need to be educated by the manufactures on the products in order to provide the proper information to the customer for sales and service of systems to fit their needs. Our employees are in some form of manufactures seminar at least once a month. The manufactures are constantly requiring our people to travel and participate in design, installation and services classes for boiler, furnaces, air conditioning and controls. We believe that the product sold should meet the need of the customer not the customer fit the job. Our reputation is our lively hood and is based on giving a fair price for the services provided.
Dwight Getting and his family are amazing. We just moved into a house, that the air conditioning did not work. DGHVAC had a service guy out to us within the hour to get us up and running.
